When integrating Google Workspace with Zluri's platform, users may encounter the error message "This app is blocked." This issue typically arises due to certain security configurations or restrictions set up within the Google Admin Console environment. This guide outlines the necessary steps to troubleshoot and resolve this error, ensuring seamless integration and user management through Zluri's Playbooks feature.

Prerequisite Checks

Confirm Third-Party Access Blocks

  • Confirm with the client whether any third-party access blocks have been implemented within their Google Workspace environment.

  • Check with the client if any firewall settings are in place that might interfere with the integration process. Obtain and review the security settings configured within Google Workspace.

Steps to Resolve the Error
Modify API Control Settings

  1. Sign in to the Google Admin console.

  2. Navigate to Security > Access and Data Control > API control and click Settings.

  1. Ensure the following configurations:

    • 'Unconfigured third-party apps' - Allow users to access third-party apps.

    • 'Internal Apps' - Trust Internal Apps.

Note: If you prefer not to modify API control settings, refer to the below App Access Control Settings steps.

Modify App Access Control Settings

If you prefer not to modify API control settings, you can directly adjust app access control settings.

  1. Sign in to the Google Admin console.

  2. Navigate to Security > Access and Data Control > API control and click MANAGE THIRD_PARTY APP ACCESS.

  1. Under the Configured Apps list, Search for "Zluri" in the OAuth App Name Or Client ID search bar.


  1. From the listed search results, select the first “Zluri” option with the right logo.

  1. Select all the listed instances of Zluri and click Select.

  1. Mark as Trusted and click CONFIGURE to apply the changes.

  1. Upon completing the steps, reconnect the Google Workspace app at Zluri.
