Resolving the “This app is blocked!” Integration Error in Google Workspace
You may see an error like "This app is blocked" when integrating Google Workspace with Zluri. This usually happens due to certain security restrictions configured in the Google Admin console.
Prerequisites
- Ensure there are no third-party access blocks implemented within your Google Workspace environment.
- Review the security settings configured within Google Workspace. Make sure there are no firewall settings in place that might interfere with the integration process.
Resolving the error
There are two ways to fix the error:
Option 1: Modify API Control Settings
- Open the Google Admin console.
- Navigate to Security → Access and data control → API control, then click Settings.
3. Modify the settings as follows:- Unconfigured third-party apps → Allow users to access third-party apps.
- Internal apps → Trust internal apps
4. Reconnect Google Workspace in Zluri and everything should work as expected.
Option 2: Modify app access control settings
1. Open the Google Admin console.
2. Navigate to Security → Access and data control → API controls, then click MANAGE THIRD-PARTY APP ACCESS.
3. In the Configured apps section, click on Configure new app.
4. Search for "Zluri" and select the first result.
5. Select All in <company name> (all users), then click Continue.
6. Select Trusted, then click Continue.
7. Review the changes, then click Finish.
8. Reconnect Google Workspace in Zluri and everything should work as expected.
